Gift of the Year 2020 to launch at Home & Gift

The Gift of the Year 2020 competition will be officially launched at this year's Home & Gift show in Harrogate. The Giftware Association's well-known award is now in its 42nd year, and spans 20 categories of giftware, homeware and personal fashion.

Eligible products are those that will be available to market from February 2020 until the end of the year. There is no longer any restriction on how old the product can be, but entrants are advised that judges may not vote for products they have seen before a second time.

The 2020 product categories are:

- Cards & Wrap
- Children's Gift
- Commemorative & Collectible
- Contemporary Gift
- Design & Craft
- Ethical Gift
- Fashion Accessory
- Fashion Jewellery
- Festive & Occasional
- Food & Drink
- Garden & Outdoor
- Home Accessory
- Home Fragrance
- Hot Novelty
- Kitchen & Dining
- Pet Gift
- Stationery
- Under £10

As in previous years, there is no limit to how many products or categories companies can enter, or how many categories the same product can be entered into. The panel of retailers, trade press and industry experts will judge each entry on its commercial merits and quality.
