Hard hit customers whose businesses have been hit by the pre-Christmas strikes can now get a new year boost, thanks to digital print platform, WTTB. The company is aware of how many trade clients and small companies were affected by the action in the run-up to what should be the busiest time of year, mainly through the problems with Royal Mail. And with that in mind WTTB has decided to hold a two week sale – which has just gone live – with discounts of up to 25 per cent on some products.

Small businesses should not feel pressured into taking part in Black Friday this year, says Lee Murphy, a small business finance expert at The Accountancy Partnership Lee Murphy said: "Many business owners are already struggling with the current economic climate, so offering big discounts when margins are already being squeezed could be more costly in the long run. Before deciding on any deals and discounts, businesses should review their cash flow, and consider the cost of processing a larger number of orders at one time.

h+h cologne 2022 closed on Sunday with a convincing result. Around 4,500 visitors from 49 countries led to thoroughly satisfied faces at the exhibition stands. 'Back to the Future' was the motto on the central event zone of the trade fair and couldn't have been chosen more appropriately. The relief and joy at being able to engage in an exchange, discuss the current trends and being able to touch and feel materials after a compulsory break of two years triggered off an equally positive mood among both the exhibitors and the trade audience. The success of h+h cologne was rounded off by a high order intake.

Alongside association partners in the British Allied Trades Federation, The Giftware Association has donated £5000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee's (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help provide much-needed food and supplies for those fleeing the conflict. While hope continues for a peaceful resolution, millions of Ukrainian refugees require immediate support, donations to the fund will be used to provide urgent supplies where they are needed most. The UK Government has pledged to fund match donations to DEC up to a total of £20 million, meaning contributions are automatically doubled. The Giftware Association encourage and support member companies to contribute to this vital appeal in any way they can.
