Sara Davies MBE is the sixth celebrity contestant confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2021

The multi-award-winning entertainment show, Strictly Come Dancing, produced by BBC Studios, will return to BBC One for its 19th series this autumn, once again bringing glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to Saturday and Sunday nights.Sara Davies MBE is the sixth celebrity contestant confirmed for the brand new series.Sara was the youngest ever dragon on the panel of entrepreneurs on popular BBC show Dragons' Den, when she joined in 2019. A businesswoman, her company Crafter's Companion, which she started as a student, now employs almost 250 people worldwide and has earned her the affectionate nickname of the Crafting Queen. She is the recipient of over 30 business awards and, in 2016, she was appointed Member Of The Order Of The British Empire (MBE) for services to the economy.

Theo Paphitis discusses Hybrid Retailing at Autumn Fair

On day three of the UK's leading home, gift and fashion show, Autumn Fair co-located with Moda, visitors were treated to an insightful and honest conversation with retail entrepreneur and small business advocate Theo Paphitis in which he championed hybrid retail - the mix of physical and online retailing. As well as highlighting the growth in convenience and localised shopping, he urged would-be retailers to take the opportunity now to open physical stores and revealed that his businesses are looking to open more stores and have identified 200 sites to investigate.

Introducing 'Trace'

Search Press is excited to introduce film and TV costume designer, Michele Carragher's first book, Trace, which will be available later this month. Michele works as a Costume Embroiderer in the film and TV industry, and has been a part of many award-winning productions such as Game of Thrones, HBO's Elizabeth I and The Crown. She has also worked on Nicole Kidman's outfits for Queen of the Desert. Many of the costumes that Michele has embroidered have been exhibited in various museums around the world

BCTF Online delivers for makers

BCTF Online 2021, which ran from 27 June – 1 July, welcomed close to a thousand verified retail trade buyers to the five-day digital event, plus hours of content from an expert line-up of speakers. Participants in the show, where categories ranged from jewellery and fashion accessories through to ceramics, glass, woodwork, fine art and paper products, were lavished with attention from exclusive retail buyers in search of the best British handmade products. The event attracted 888 buyers in total, who viewed thousands of catalogue pages and images, watched hundreds of videos and created hundreds of favourites during the show.

Safe in-person trade fairs in Frankfurt

The first in-person trade fairs have already taken place. Messe Frankfurt is ready to resume in-person events with its proven safety and hygiene concept and requirement that everyone be vaccinated, recovered or tested. The first events have already been held successfully, and the next in-person events will be opening their doors in Frankfurt in September. Sara Davies launches new Craft with Sara workshops

Sara Davies MBE, founder and creative director of Crafter's Companion, is launching a limited series of virtual craft-along workshops. The Craft with Sara workshops offer attendees the opportunity to try a new creative experience. Each person who signs up to a workshop will receive all the supplies and materials they need to take part, including a Zoom link to join a class with Sara Davies, who will guide the audience through creating the project. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Sara for advice and tips during the live and interactive session. The schedule of workshops features a range of classes to suit all abilities, including no-sew bag making, card making, mindful colouring, crochet, macrame, pom-pom making and more.
