New designer joins Heritage Crafts

Mel Rodicq is the latest artist to join the 'Heritage family'. Welcome on board! Here is the design Hidden Valley (MSHV1686). I just adore the colours. The design is part of the range entitled: Mel's Stitches and measures 20.5cm x 20.5cm. The RRP is £34.99. These designs are available on 27ct evenweave or 14ct aida fabric. NSW exceeds all expectations with new direction

This year's National Stationery Week saw more than 150 retailers and suppliers take part in what some call the biggest marketing campaign in the stationery industry calendar. Taking place between 15th to 21st May 2023, National Stationery Week was backed by world renowned brands including Maped Helix, Pentel, Snopake, edding, Zebra Pens and Staedtler, as well as Jakar International, Esterbrook, Kaweko, and Sinclairs.

Pentel announces #LovePentelPen winners

Pentel is delighted to announce the winners of its #LovePentelPens competition, in which end-users receiving special Pentel sample packs were encouraged to vote for their favourite independent retail stationer. Online stationery shop Under the Rowan Trees secured the highest number of votes, while Oswestry-based Meraki Colour came second. Pentel co-ordinated the #LovePentelPens activity to complement its sponsorship of a day during this year's National Stationery Week.

Increasing applications create tipping point in £8 billion UK gift card sector

When adults in the UK receive a gift card it is now more likely not to be a gift, with alternative uses for the versatile product outstripping gifting for the first time according to research from the Gift Card and Voucher Association (GCVA).

The study of 2,000 UK adults, commissioned for the association's 'What's in a Name' whitepaper (supported by KPMG and sponsored by Tillo), found that 54.1% of UK adults (equivalent to 28.8 million people) received at least one gift card in the last year.

Just under a quarter of the population (24.84%) received at least one as a gift from family or friends.

However, 29.26% received gift cards solely for non-gifting reasons.
