Abbey England appoints new CEO: Image 1 As part of its £500,000 transformation programme, wholesale supplier Abbey England has appointed a new CEO, former director Richard Brown. The newly created role recognises the changing requirements of the business and marks a new chapter in the company's history. Abbey is a market-leading whole supplier of British-made materials for a range of industries including craft, pets, marine, automotive and equestrian. Products for the craft sector include webbings, textiles and leather. The new strategy is designed to combine the heritage of the business, which has a Royal Warrant, with the introduction of new technology to ensure future sustainability.

"Following a number of acquisitions over the last 11 years, with a particular focus on vertical integration with the supply chain, we realised we needed to consolidate our business and ensure it was ready for growth in the new decade," explains Richard. "The initiative is designed to deliver profitable and sustainable growth in core and expanding markets by simplifying our business, concentrating on what we're good at and improving the way we do it by modernising our functions and processes."
