Craft Focus chats to Crafting TV personality and entrepreneur Dawn Bibby: Image 1 In the beginning

I've been on TV in the craft industry now for 27 years and I launched my own brand sometime ago but relaunched it about three years ago as Dawn Bibby Creations. To able to offer an even greater range of diverse products I have recently partnered with LuMoo.

My aim is to bring crafters a comprehensive range of products to give professional results easily! I always bring out collections of matching dues/stamps/stencils and MDF to create beautiful coordinated products, along with paints/glitters/pens and all the mediums you need to get great results.

What's new?

I have monthly product launches now with both of my brands Dawn Bibby Creations and I relaunched Dawn Bibby Designs in partnership with Create and Craft about a year ago which has also been hugely successful.
My best selling designs are flowers of course, as they never date and I'm always bringing out new fantasy flowers.

Life in lockdown

Lockdown is not really so much different for me thankfully as I work a lot from home designing and preparing for TV shows – I'm just missing catching up with friends and going out for coffees and dinners.

Craft Focus chats to Crafting TV personality and entrepreneur Dawn Bibby: Image 2 TV life is also continuing with stringent practices in place, I live very close to the TV studios so I've also been doing additional hours for other companies that are too far away so I've actually been kept very busy which I do prefer. There are of course more responsibilities and roles to play with restricted numbers in our teams that execute the live shows but we are all doing our very best to keep all of our lovely viewers entertained at home. I think this has been much more paramount with so many lonely and elderly people in isolation.

My own design team have been quite prolific on my Facebook group running daily Facebook live demonstrations and keeping in touch on a daily basis with all of our lovely followers and chatting with all the crafty folk out there.
We are actually very lucky that we have many UK manufacturers that can continue to produce great products for us (as imports are limited and generally much slower to get through borders and customs in these difficult times) and of course we are incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful and mindful industry that keep us focusing and creating during these turbulent days.
