When we (Tracey and Kevin) were working as ceramicists some 20 years ago, Tracey began using stamps to imprint designs into the clay and then began selling the stamps as products. These grew in popularity until they were no longer an accessory but the main focus.
We branched from ceramics to paper craft and began turning Tracey's hand-drawn designs into polymer stamps, achieving an eye-popping level of fine detail. This has been the backbone of our business ever since and has skyrocketed the company's growth.
Talk us through the current products you're particularly excited about. Do you have a favourite?
We take pride in our detailed polymer stamps, all hand-drawn by Tracey with fairy-fantasy inspiration. We're likewise thrilled by our expanding collection of stencils and the uniquely vibrant colours of our Elements Ink pads and Dinkles pigments.
My personal favourite? It's always the new stamp collection. Our stamp inventory offers an entire magical world for customers to incorporate into their artworks and makes. Each new release brings fresh characters and elements of nature; each one adds depth to the Lavinia world and sparks new creativity.
Mystical, nature-inspired creations like fairies, trees and forest creatures consistently resonate with the community. The 'Forest Realm Collection' featuring woodland critters and foliage, has become especially popular—highlighting the enduring appeal of magical, organic motifs.
Hobby & crafts have boomed in recent years! Have you noticed any new trends?
Yes, online communities have truly propelled the craft boom, driving awareness and engagement through tutorials, livestreams, and community interaction. There's a rising trend in layered, scene-building stamping techniques—often combining multiple inks for depth, with sparkle or mica sprays adding magical finishes.
How would you advise a retailer who is interested in stocking your products?
Our products sell brilliantly as collections. The stamps all complement each other – birds, branches, grasses and flora all to build up into a meadow full of life, combining different elements to build a magical scene.
We always push the boundaries of detail, quality and authentic personality in our products. Every stamp design starts as a detailed drawing by Tracey. Add to that the exceptional quality of all our products and our supportive creative community, we offer a truly unique creative space for crafters to enjoy.
Do you visit any trade shows? Do you plan to visit any soon?
We usually attend Creativeworld in Messe Frankfurt. It's a vast and exciting event where we enjoy making new connections, introducing new customers to our products and seeking our own inspiration from the latest innovation in the craft industry.
What are you looking forward to most over the next year?
We're most excited about continuing to grow our in-house product lines—adding fresh colours to the ink range, launching new stamp collections and expanding our craft tools. Building creative possibilities for our community is invigorating, seeing brilliant and unexpected uses for our products often inspires what we come up with next.
