Blooming geraniums in flowerpots decorated with wrapping paper are a great way to add vintage charm and a splash of colour to your home. This pretty craft project is easy to do, adds a personal touch to any home, and would make a wonderful gift.
To make these homemade, retro flower pots, you will need a flowering geranium, a terracotta pot, floral wrapping paper, scissors, paste, a paintbrush, and (optional) matt clear varnish for sealing.
Step 1: Cut out various plant or flower motifs from the wrapping paper.
Step 2: Coat the back of them with the wallpaper paste.
Step 3: Carefully place them on the terracotta pot. Smooth them out with the brush and press down firmly to prevent wrinkles.
Step 4: Stick motifs of different sizes and shapes next to each other. This creates a more varied and unique design.
Step 5: Leave the paste to dry thoroughly. Coat with matt varnish to protect the decoration and ensure a long-lasting result. Finally, place your flowering geranium inside and your stylish decoration or gift is complete.
