Little Wren Pottery will be found at the Knitting and Stitching show in Harrogate between the 24th and 27th of November. The stand comes courtesy of Craft Guerrilla and Twisted Thread who held an open invitation for applicants in their Designer Makers Competition for 2011.
The competition was to find contemporary designer makers who are passionate about all things handmade, have a high level of craftsmanship and businesses that can be transformed from part time ventures into viable full time businesses. The cost of the stall would have been £600 per day, a sum usually unaffordable for start-up craft businesses.
The show takes place at the Harrogate International Centre and you'll find many artisans specialising in everything from rainbows of woolly yarns to card making supplies.
There are also hundreds of workshops to learn some new hands on skills including an upcycling centre where you can get your old t-shirts created into something new.
Inside the exhibition centre you can find Little Wren Pottery in Hall E on stand E27 next to the Learning Curve workshop spaces. The show is open daily from 10 until 5:30.
Little Wren Pottery was set up by Victoria Baker in 2009 producing hand thrown ceramics in the city of Sunderland. The studio focuses on producing everyday objects which are both elegant and functional. Further information about the Knitting and Stitching show, T: +44 (0)20 8692 2299, www.twistedthread.com.
