  July High Street sales exceed expectations
Sales on the high street were higher this July compared with the same time last year, and surpassed expectations too, according to the latest CBI Distributive Survey.

The survey also reported that retailers are expecting to see sales to continue to grow. 51% of retailers reported that their sales were up, with only 18% reporting lower sales. The leading business group suggested that annual summer discounts, the World Cup and summery weather had been factors in the increased footfall....

  Creation of European hobby and craft distributor
