		July High Street sales exceed expectations Sales on the high street were higher this July compared with the same time last year, and surpassed expectations too, according to the latest CBI Distributive Survey. The survey also reported that retailers are expecting to see sales to continue to grow. 51% of retailers reported that their sales were up, with only 18% reporting lower sales. 		Creation of European hobby and craft distributor Kars has just announced the completion of the acquisition of 100% of KnorrPrandell GmbH in Lichtenfels, Germany by the shareholders of Kars & Co BV which will take place with immediate effect. The two companies will shortly be integrated in a new holding company situated in The Netherlands, but until then the organisations will operate under their respective entity names. The acquisition as been billed as the most logical and one of compelling within the craft industry.
