Cleopatra’s Needle now sell Appletons wool in both tapestry and crewel wool, in all shades from skein to full hanks.
Along with the wool we are developing new designs and have recently launched a set of British Wildlife series cushions. and other needlepoint kits based on original designs by Rachel Hudson Illustration and Katrin Eagle.

Our exclusive needlepoint kits use Appleton’s wool, Zweigart tapestry canvas and include charts and full instructions. All our new larger kits are now coming with a full colour and Black and White charts.
The kits make cushions, herb pillows, spectacle cases, lavender hearts, pen cases, and samplers. The traditional and contemporary designs are suitable for children, beginners and experienced stitchers.
