PENTEL ANNOUNCES #80YEARSOFPENTEL TRADE COMPETITION WINNER

Pentel has announced that independent stationery retailer Bartrums of Hay-on-Wye is the winner of the trade competition associated with Pentel’s #80YearsofPentel campaign, which launched during National Stationery Week to encourage everyone to celebrate Pentel’s 80th anniversary. In the campaign independent retailers could apply for special sample kits containing a sample of Pentel’s quick-drying EnerGel pen, a Mattehop Gel pen, a Pointliner Colour, a Brush Sign Pen and a PLUS Glue Tape, together with blank card and a choice of three Japanese-inspired templates to colour.

PENTEL TRADE COMPETITION WINNER They were required to announce the availability of the free packs on social media and encourage their customers to come into store and request a kit - which also gave end-users the opportunity to enter a competition to win a bundle of Pentel and PLUS products worth £100. The winner of the consumer competition also won for their retailer a Pentel merchandising package featuring an EnerGel Eco 79% recycled display, Pointliner Colour and Brush Sign Pen counter displays, together with a PLUS Glue Tape candy jar.

Thanks to the creativity of their customer Jessie Dixon, whose winning entry delighted the independent judge, Kirsten Gilmour and Jo Hodges won the Pentel trade prize package on behalf of Bartrums.

Receiving their prize from their Pentel representative, territory manager John Cotterell, Kirsten commented, "We were thrilled to win the 80 years of Pentel competition. Hay-on-Wye is full of creative and talented folks – it's such a privilege to showcase that"
