UK Hand Knitting is delighted to welcome Cygnet Yarns, as a new member to the not for profit organisation, which supports and promotes yarn shops nationwide. Formed in 2004 by Katie Stephenson & Karen Hargreaves, Cygnet Yarns is an award winning, yet relatively new brand on the hand knitting scene which offers a huge range; from value yarns to pure wool and cotton yarns, Cygnet’s products are very popular with knitters and crocheters.

She joins the UK Hand Knitting board with immediate effect. "We have watched closely how UK Hand Knitting has evolved over recent years. The organisation's commitment to supporting the nation's yarn shops is very much in harmony with our approach, so joining UK Hand Knitting is a natural progression in the development of our business," explains Katie.

William Burgess, Chairman of the UK Hand Knitting board says: "We are delighted that Cygnet Yarns and Katie are joining us. Having such a young and vibrant company to swell our numbers ensures that we remain even more relevant and are able to further support our industry and everyone who works in it."
