The organisers of The Knitting & Stitching Show Special Edition at Alexandra Palace, London regret to announce that the event, due to take place from 8th-11th October, has been cancelled

Cancelled Covid Knitting Stitching Show Special Edition Alexandra Palace Event director Anna Baptiste said: "It's with much sadness that we're cancelling The Knitting & Stitching Show Special Edition. We pride ourselves on delivering a great experience for anyone with a love of textile based crafts and although we are confident in the safety measures in place for the event, following the Government's recent announcement about the 'Rule of 6' and the additional uncertainty this has created around the 'green light' for events, we believe it's better to be decisive now. We know that like us, many people will be disappointed, and we thank our visitors, exhibitors and contributors for their continued support. We look forward to welcoming the textile craft community back to live events in 2021."

Visitors that have booked tickets for the event's workshops or Shopping Village will receive a full refund via booking agent, SEE Tickets.

In place of the three autumn The Knitting & Stitching Shows in London, Dublin and Harrogate, organisers Upper Street Events are curating a digital event to bring the textile and craft community together online. Beyond The Knitting & Stitching Show celebrates textiles and crafts and will feature live, streamed masterclasses, free-to-view resources, exhibitor offers, competitions and more. Details will be available soon.

The Knitting & Stitching Shows due to take place in London, Dublin and Harrogate in autumn 2020 will not be taking place and have been postponed until 2021.
