The 2020 Festival of Quilts will switch to an online format to accommodate as many of the annual quilting events and competitions as possible and in order to celebrate this event, Vlieseline has created a Quilt-along project to engage quilters and crafters in lockdown during the weeks leading up to FoQ.
Vlieseline would also like to invite participants to enter their quilts into an online competition offering a prize of £100 worth of Vlieseline products. Please follow and like the Facebook page for updates on this upcoming event.
Vlieseline would like to highlight the excellent work carried out by Project Linus https://projectlinusuk.org.uk/ who would be grateful for any quilt donations after this event.
The organisation aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of new home-made patchwork quilts and knitted blankets, and give volunteers across the UK the opportunity to contribute to their local community.
