Creative Craft Show helps charity win award: Image 1 A collaboration between the Creative Craft Show, Grans on the Make and charity Park View 4 U has been recognised by Defra, with the charity given a Bees Need Champions award. The prize recognises the team's popular Make a Beeline project, which used craft to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators at each of ICHF's Creative Craft Shows in 2019.

The partnership arose after the Lancashire charity Park View 4 U achieved a Guinness World Record for knitting and crocheting bees. The project gathered support from Beebombs Dorset, Virgin Trains and Grow Wild, and at each show, Grans on the Make taught visitors how to make a variety of bee-themed crafts. The collaboration raised more than £12,000, which will be spent developing and planting trees, bulbs and flowers.

"We're absolutely thrilled to be involved with this award," says Jodie Firmin, show development manager at ICHF. "Hosting the Grans and their Make a Beeline project at the Creative Craft Shows has given the campaign national recognition, vital for a local charity."
