The fabrics of the future

During this current world situation, many of the new products Michael's Bridal Fabrics has added to its collection have been eco-friendly. There are a variety of reasons why fabrics can come under this category. Among the products being offered are French laces using organic cotton and organic viscose where the trees cut down to make the wood pulp into viscose are renewed with two new trees planted for each tree cut down. There are also some guipure laces which are 90 per cent recycled polyester.

The fabrics of the future There are also a variety of polyester based plain fabrics that use a large percentage of recycled yarns, like duchess satins and Mikado qualities, including 100 per cent recycled poly tulle. There are also a few different qualities of crepes, one of which is made with some recycled polyester and a couple made from organic acetate and recycled viscose. There's also a growing range of natural eco products which includes a mixture of plains, checks, stripes, fancy weave small designs made out of banana, milk, orange, bamboo and rose petals!
