SOS Quilts arrive in Krasnik, Poland: Image 1 Fabric supplier Alice Caroline has announced that quilts made by its customers for the Quilt SOS project 2018 have arrived in Krasnik, Poland. A total of 66 Liberty quilts have been made and donated to the cause.

The project is now in its third year. In 2016, 47 quilts were delivered to children at the Hemeius SOS Village in Romania and in 2017, 83 were donated to Vilnius in Lithuania. The hand-stitched quilts are destined for children who have lost their families.

The project is the brainchild of owner Alice Caroline Garrett. “The Quilt SOS project seems to be going from strength to strength," she explains. "This is the third year that we have taken quilts out to an SOS Children's Village. Each location is really different so every year has a new story. I have been astounded by the warm and giving nature of customers. This year we set ourselves up in the village common room and handed the quilts out to the children one house at a time. It was a great privilege.” Visit www.alicecaroline.com for more information about the project.
