Cats Protection and Paraffle Embroidery announce interactive craft-along!

Posted by Rachel Westall on 1 March 2022

Craft for Cats and Paraffle Embroidery join forces for a live, online craft workshop on 2nd April, with an exclusive new design and proceeds donated to Cats Protection. The craft-along event on 2nd April, 2022 is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced crafters, and is hosted by Sammy Bishop, the founder of Paraffle Embroidery.

Embroidery hoop with a black and white cat design "I'm delighted to be partnering with Craft for Cats" said Sammy. "Working with charities is a key part of my business, and it was wonderful to create a design that shows cat lovers the positive, calming effects that embroidery can have".

Zoe Thompson from Cats Protection's fundraising team said, "We're so excited to be teaming up with Paraffle Embroidery to offer a brand new craft for our supporters to try. Sammy has put together a lovely kit that helps crafters to show off their cat's individuality. And with half of the money going to help the cats in our care, each kit sold could cover vital veterinary costs such as a flea and worm treatment, or microchip two cats before they find loving new homes. For us, cats and crafting is the perfect combination and we look forward to welcoming new faces to our friendly and supportive Craft for Cats community!"

Embroidery kits for the craft-along event cost £20, with £10 from each kit going directly to Cats Protection to support their work for cats in need. Attendees can join in from 10am - 12pm on Saturday 2nd April on Facebook live, and can catch up later with a video recording.
