Show season kicked off with Spring Fair followed by CHSI Stitches in February and even though doubt was cast from the Omicron Covid-19 variant, visitors, buyers and exhibitors safely visited the NEC and orders were made in a face-to-face fashion once again. Myself and Tracy loved seeing so many lovely clients and readers alike at our stand at Stitches. It was great to hand out copies of Craft Focus, connect with people new to the sector and advise and chit chat like it was 2019 again!
We’re really looking forward to the London Stationery Show in May where we will also have copies of the magazine distributed. In this issue, we have an exclusive interview with Show Event Director, Alex Butler who gives you all you need to know about the upcoming show. Alongside this we have a creative stationery product feature and an interview with Sinclairs Stationers; these stalwarts have been championing the sector since 1837! You can read what Gemma Bassett, Head of Marketing has to say on page 49. Enjoy the issue!

| Spring fever: Spring and Easter crafts to entice customers |

Use Spring and Easter crafts to entice customers at this beautiful time of year who are looking for items reflective of the season.
Help your customers create a colourful springtime with uni-ball pens and POSCA markers. Decorate eggs and gift boxes with beautiful spring motifs and enjoy some Easter crafting using POSCA paint makers. Whip up colourful, Easter-themed greetings with SIGNO gel pens, which work amazingly on paper and card.
Or for your more artistically inclined customers, why not use watercolour with uni-PIN pens to make exquisite illustrations of seasonal animals?

| New designs from Mouseloft |
| |
Mouseloft has some lovely new counted cross stitch designs for spring in its new 'Tiddlers', 'Stitchlets' and 'Paw Prints' collections. Mouseloft is a small family company, that has been designing and making its own pocket money kits in Cheshire since 1996. Mouseloft sells mostly to small sewing and crafting shops. These kits all contain the following: aida fabric, threads, needle and instructions. They're the perfect size to let you sew a lovely little picture in an evening!

| Jakar International ready for LSS |
| |
Jakar International will be taking to London Stationery Show its extensive range of Jakar art, craft and stationery materials as well as Caran d'Ache artist materials and colour products. The company has just introduced three different types of spiral bound, micro perforated artwork pads, sketching, drawing and painting, with 12 different front covers, four designs per type. Jakar is also excited about its new range of eight artwork sketch books with hard and flexible covers, 192 pages, case bound. The eco-friendly range of stationery products now includes wooden rulers and pencil sharpeners as well as rulers and sharpeners made from recycled and bio-based materials.

| Crafterama at Ally Pally |
| |
The very first Crafterama @ Alexandra Palace in London, originally planned for 2020, took place on 12-13th March, 2022. The show was a great success with lots of demonstrations and make and takes running throughout the weekend. The show included art stamps, die cutting, card & paper, glitter art, needle felting plus more crafting goods. Alexandra Palace is a beautiful and iconic venue overlooking London with lots of parking and wonderful views. A lovely place to visit! The 2023 dates have already been set - 11-12th March - when the event will be even bigger and better.
