June/July 2021

The summer of ’21

Shops can positively prepare for the months ahead and we have pages packed with product including our Children’s Crafts and Back to School specials ready for those backpack essentials. We also have a beautifully botanical feature on succulents and cacti – the houseplant trend is set to be huge for the foreseeable so make sure your offering includes some of Exaclair’s New Décopatch Cactus models or Oh Sew Bootiful’s Cacti Embroidery Kits!

Restrictions are easing. We can now sit inside a pub instead of sipping prosecco dodging hail storms in our local beer gardens and of course we can now hug our loved ones! Our Friends & Family Reunited feature toasts this milestone as we share products that we can’t wait to either do with family members or prepare ready for their visit. We hope that summer 2021 brings a season of celebrating and memory ‘making’.

For all the latest on trade shows reopening please do check out our show news pages. I do hope to be seeing some of your faces at an exhibition centre very soon!

Till then, enjoy the issue!

This little butterfly can be seen during the months of May /June in England, only with a stronghold in central-southern areas on the chalk and limestone grasslands with plenty of shelter from scrub, slopes or clearings on ancient woodland sites.

He realised that if a single segmented blade could be made to snap at given points, you'd always have a sharp edge to hand.Brian Price, national accounts manager at OLFA UK talks to Craft Focus about their renowned cutting tools, proudly made in Japan. Here's what he had to say...
