Craft Focus - December 2022/January 2023 (Issue 94)

64 Extraordinary craftmanship Anya Hogg, Marketing Manager at Faber Artisans chats to Craft Focus about the opportunities for businesses through their multi-vendor marketplace Tell us a little bit about the company. Where are you based? When did the company start? Faber Artisans is a multi-vendor marketplace for artisans to sell handmade goods. The site serves two audiences - vendors and shoppers - and aims to provide an environment that nurtures heritage artistry, creativity, sustainability, and conscious business practices. Our online marketplace has been under construction for more than two years and officially launched in September 2022. Our internal team works remotely from Derbyshire and Liverpool. Who founded the company and why? Tony Cowlishaw founded Faber with the primary target of becoming the ‘go to’ marketplace to find high-end, bespoke, handmade treasures that celebrate the joy of supporting the Arts and Crafts movement in the UK. We’re looking to work with partners who can help endorse the brand and drive brand awareness through their members, subscribers, or readers - for the benefit of all parties, especially our vendors. Tony holds over 35 years of sales and production management within print, mail, and direct marketing. He’s built two successful start-up businesses within these markets and continues to operate under Infinity Print & Mail Limited to provide consultation services to major clients within the UK, US, and New Zealand. He has more than 20 years of experience as a Board-level Director and 12 years of experience as a Managing Director. Talk us through the current products you’re particularly excited about. Do you have a favourite? We’re presently excited to be offering a free, 12-month associate subscription for the first 50 sellers to join Faber during this early recruitment phase. We hope that this will provide our early sellers with a straightforward and economical way to begin selling with us.
