Retailers Create and Craft and Hobbycraft have joined forces to re-ignite the creative market. Their collaboration will involve a joint sourcing strategy, with the companies to co-host sessions where designers and companies big and small can promote their wares with the opportunity of getting their products in-store and on TV.
Tony Sheridan of Create and Craft commented, "The creative industry thrives on newness. Today, there's a distinct lack of innovative product that makes it to the mass market. Create and Craft's exciting collaboration with Hobbycraft will give the opportunity for product designers and developers of all sizes to pitch their product to the two largest retailers in the industry at the same time, fast tracking decisions and benefiting from the efficiencies of scale"
Kate Poulter, Commercial Director at Hobbycraft added; "We understand how hard it is for new designers and producers to get their products to market. This exciting opportunity can give them access to connect to the UK crafter through our 87 stores and online business. In addition to simply ranging product, there's an opportunity to co-create too."
The first session will take place on 22nd January 2017 at the craft and hobby trade show, CREATIVATION in Phoenix Arizona. Further events will soon be announced in the UK and Europe. Interested parties should email meetthebuyers@createandcraft.com for more details about this one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet the Hobbycraft and Create and Craft buying team under one roof.
