For every knitting pattern sold, King Cole is proud to be donating to the Pink Ribbon Foundation. The Pink Ribbon logo will appear on all new knitting patterns and pattern books from July and all reprints of existing knitting patterns and books. Older patterns even if it doesn't features the pink ribbon logo will have a donation made too.
The decision to support this charity was made when Mark Blake, sales and marketing manager decided to change the design and colour, and along with Mike Wilson CEO's colour choice of bright pink, it reminded them of the breast cancer charity.
The decision was then made to raise all of the money for this cause with no administration fees in the same way that King Cole do for Children in Need every year – which the company has supported for the last nine years – through the sales of its Pudsey Bear patterns. So far, they've raised more than £40,00.
