The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards represent the best that the events industry has to offer. The annual awards recognise and celebrate organisers’ achievements, standards of excellence from venues and service quality by suppliers and contractors throughout the industry. Charlie Cracknell, portfolio director, Spring Fair says, “I’m so proud that The Club at Spring Fair has been shortlisted for an AEO Excellence Award. It’s amazing recognition for the hard work, dedication and creativity that every member of the team exhibits on a daily basis and we’re all thrilled to be shortlisted for such an exciting initiative.” The Club at Spring Fair offers something brand new to the definitive marketplace for the home and gift industry. Designed to facilitate even more meaningful business connections, The Club’s main purpose is to better connect buyers with exhibitors. The tiered initiative, with Platinum, Gold and Silver levels of membership, rewards Spring and Autumn Fair’s most loyal and highest spending buyers. Facilitating connections between exhibitors and the show’s best sales opportunities, the programme focuses on delivering greater return on investment and time at the show, helping to make members’ experiences as efficient and rewarding as possible. The initiative’s highest tier of membership, Platinum, was developed as part of significant new investment from show organisers Hyve Group. At Platinum level, The Club hosts over 150 UK and international buyers with the highest spending power at the show. These members also qualify for Spring Fair’s ‘Pitch it’ programme. This entails a matchmaking service with the show’s exhibitors, as well as a series of dedicated speed networking sessions designed to bring as many key buyers and exhibitors together over the show’s five-day run. The Club is available for home, gift and sourcing buyers. Spring Fair’s Design & Source (previously known as Sourcing at Spring Fair) is the latest show to join Hyve Group’s sourcing portfolio, which also includes fellow AEO nominee Pure Origin. Design & Source replaces ‘Sourcing’ with a new, trend-driven buying destination to meet home décor, contract textile and gift manufacturers from international fabricating countries from across Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. The new sector offers an easier, cheaper and more effective sourcing platform for visitors by cutting out the hassle of travelling overseas and unites the supply chain with the UK and European retail market. Spring Fair will return to the NEC Birmingham on 7 th -11 th February, 2021. The AEO Excellence Awards will take place on 4 th December, 2020 at Grosvenor House London.
