Tell us a little about Bosal and its products. Bosal produces high quality American-made foams, fibres, crafts and interfacing products for use in quilting, patchwork, dressmaking, bag making and more. The ability to sew in single and double sided fusible has led to us becoming global leaders in stabilisers for craft purposes. We work with designers to come up with patterns, converting their visions into pre-cut packs that make it easier for the consumer to get stitching. What are the company’s best-selling products? Ideal for bag-makers, In-R-Form double-sided fusible foam is very popular and is available in packs, by the metre and in bag-strapping rolls. We have noticed that jelly roll rugs are also becoming a trend in the US, so we developed Katahdin batting in 2½in-wide rolls. Ideal for use with a pattern by RJ Designs, this versatile product is taking the sector by storm and we are working day and night to produce it! We always attend Quilt Market Houston, CHSI Stitches in the UK and h+h Cologne in Germany. These are key dates that allow us to meet and chat with our customers, as well as sharing our latest innovations. What do you look for in a retail partner? Bosal distributes through wholesalers in the UK who then sell to retailers. We look for partners with a passion for crafts, fabrics and sewing, who can really educate their customers and promote our brand. There are still a lot of potential retailers out there who we believe would like to stock our products. What sets you apart from your competitors? We have more than 100 lines covering nonwoven, woven, embroidery backers, canvases, wefts, tricots and water solubles. Our batting range features both natural and synthetic fleeces and we have the ability to convert any product into handy pack sizes. We are constantly working with designers and retailers to come up with tailored pack options. What are your plans for 2019 and beyond? Bosal distributes its products to countries across the globe including the UK, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Australia, Canada, the USA, the Netherlands and Germany. We look forward to expanding with new partners throughout Europe this year and adding more staff to our team.
