have a nice DIY “For specialist retailers in particular, it is important to test the latest techniques and materials. And Creativeworld gives them the opportunity to try out products so they can present the products and techniques professionally to customers in their shop and offer well-founded advice”, says Michael Reichhold. Creativeworld is set to be inspiring, lively and future oriented. Trade buyers can be sure of finding everything the creative heart desires. At the exhibitors’ stands, visitors will be able to try, test, paint, cut, design and discuss brand new products. What’s trending Street art remains popular and has gained a large following over recent years. The fair is expanding this segment because it offers a variety of new opportunities for the retail trade. “We’re developing a special show on this trendy subject in cooperation with street artist Akim Walta. Our aim is to present products and materials, and to show retailers how to position street-art products in their shops and, therefore, attract new target groups. The individual creative segments are growing together and offering a variety of synergistic effects for the trade,” says Michael Reichhold. Trade visitors are invited to test the products for themselves and try out the various techniques at the Street Art special show in Hall 4.2 and at the workshop in the Creativeworld Forum. The Forum The Creativeworld Forum in Hall 4.2 offers a wide variety of workshops on new techniques and materials, as well as product demonstrations. Visitors can take part in a varied free programme of events daily from 10am. The Forum will also be the setting for the presentation of the Creative Impulse Awards, which Messe Frankfurt gives in collaboration with Hobby Art magazine. From November, manufacturers can enter their innovative products for the coveted awards in four categories (Creative Product, Creative Tool, Complete Set and Creative Book of the Year). All entries will be on show in a special exhibition in Hall 4.2 on all days of the fair. Trend Show The Creativeworld Trend Show in Hall 4.1 (Stand G41) presents the entire spectrum of hand-made lifestyles from garments, fashion and home accessories, creative articles for the office, to gift and wrapping ideas, and is a must visit area. For each trend, workshops will be held in the Trend Show area on all four days of the fair. Visitors can obtain tips and inspiration and experiment with the materials under expert supervision. Designers from Stilbüro bora.herke. palmisano present the latest techniques and products on behalf of Messe Frankfurt and showcase what’s coming for the DIY season and the chance to craft and test a variety of trending products. “We observe the influences of product, textile and fashion design on the hobbies, arts and crafts and artists’ requisites sector and adapt them to the product and thematic world of Creativeworld”, says trend scout Claudia Herke of Stilbüro bora. herke.palmisano. Using materials and tools supplied by manufacturers exhibiting at the fair, the designers create extraordinary single pieces during the run-up to the fair and present them in three trend worlds. “At the Trend Show, specialist retailers can see unexpected compositions of creative materials and techniques, which generate important impulses for their business. This year, the designers are integrating the tools and materials used into the show so visitors can see how the individual pieces were created,” says Michael Reichhold, Creativeworld Director, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. 46 craft focus
