12 10 years of thortful In 2015, thortful was born to give people a glorious escape from aisle after aisle of generic, naff cards. Now, celebrating 10 years and over 37.8 million cards later, the greetings card marketplace has been making the world more ‘thortful’, one sentimental, personal, hilarious card at a time. After nurturing and developing its 6,000+ strong card creator community for a decade, thousands of people have received life-changing money from their relationship with thortful, with £14 million worth of royalties paid out to creators to date. Managing Director Pip Heywood adds: “10 years and £14 million quid! What began as a small idea to shake up the card industry has grown into a movement - a community of creators and customers who believe cards should mean and say a lot more than ‘that’ll do’. A decade on, thortful has paid out over £14 million in royalties to our independent creators - proof that creativity really does connect people. And what’s more, we’ve helped our creators pay off mortgages, pay for weddings, pay for IVF - we never knew, when we started, just how much of a positive impact our model could have! We’ve spent 10 years challenging the ordinary, championing originality, and making the world that bit more thortful, one card at a time. And the best part? We’re only just getting started!” thortful’s independently designed cards are unmistakable to the brand. From the people, to the people. Their cards are bespoke to every person and every situation, leaning on personalised humour, sentiment and design. The Face Swap cards were also launched in 2025 for a seamless image swap, making it easy for people to look like their favourite celebs in the ultimate funny design. Sophie Jonas-Hill illustration to become a Ravensburger puzzle Acclaimed-artist Sophie Jonas-Hill is delighted to announce that her muchadored drawing ‘Fashionably Late’ has been selected by Ravensburger puzzle manufacturer, to be immortalised as a jigsaw puzzle. In a deal brokered by Larkshead Licensing, the collaboration brings Sophie’s work to puzzle enthusiasts worldwide. The illustration chosen for this transformation is inspired by Sophie’s lifelong love of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, drawing from the stories’ surreal imagery. Fascinated by reimagining classic tales and characters from unexpected angles, Sophie envisioned the White Rabbit as a more relaxed and sophisticated version of the original. Dressed in an extravagant outfit, he leisurely finishes his tea—carefree, even when summoned by the Queen of Hearts. Commenting Sophie Jonas-Hill: “Larkshead Licensing has been my partner-of-choice since 2021 and has accompanied me on this journey to take my illustration to a broader audience. I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured that Ravensburger has chosen one of my drawings for a jigsaw puzzle. Ravensburger is synonymous with quality and joy, and the opportunity to bring my artwork into their stable will mean puzzle lovers can recreate one of my favourite pieces in a new and interactive way!” The puzzle will launch in a 1000-piece format in January and will offer hours of engaging entertainment for puzzlers everywhere. The design will be available throughout the year in toy and hobby retailers, bookstores and online.
