English Girl at Home and The Fold Line has launched The Sewing Weekender: Saturday 20th Sunday - 21st August, a sewing weekend break in Cambridge.
The Sewing Weekender is a sewing weekend break in Cambridge on Saturday 20th Sunday 21st August, with an overnight stay on the Saturday. Hosted by Charlotte (English Girl at Home blog) and Rachel and Kate (The Fold Line sewing community), over the weekend there will be time to sew, chat to fellow sewists and hear talks from bloggers and independent businesses. Plus there will also be time to see a little of the historic city of Cambridge. Saturday 20th will be an informal sewathon based in a Cambridge University college.
The venue will be transformed into a sewing room for the day and attendees can bring along a project to sew while chatting to friends and drinking plenty of tea. There will also be access to support from us and lovely sewing prefects (to be announced soon), as well as fellow attendees. On Sunday morning there will be a series of informal talks from sewing bloggers and independent business owners with a chance to ask questions. 'We are so excited to organise a sewing holiday for the UK sewing community! We can't wait for everyone to get together to sew and chat. It's going to be so much fun! Cambridge is a lovely city and the perfect place for everyone across the country to meet, swap tips and make friends.”
