CHSI Stitches will be expanding into a second hall at the NEC Birmingham from Sunday 19 to Tuesday 21 February 2017, creating a bigger than ever event. The trade show, Europe's largest event for the art, craft, needlecraft, fabric and hobby industry for the last 41 years, will now be expanding from Hall 12 into Hall 11.
Adam Elkins, Sales and New Business at ICHF Events explains, "CHSI Stitches is going from strength to strength and in the last few years we have seen an extremely positive response from the industry – with a growth in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. Our plans for 2017 are really exciting and we are looking forward to a fantastic show in February."
The new layout in 2017 will see stands in Hall 11 focussing on fabric, yarn and textiles while Hall 12 will host papercrafts, art materials and hobby crafts providing clear areas for visitors looking for brand new lines, products and trends and giving exhibitors across key areas of the industry room to grow within the show.
2017 also marks the sixth anniversary of the Catwalk Show at the event. The catwalk has played host to creations from scores of CHSI Stitches exhibitors in recent years, bringing to life the breadth of applications of the various crafts and products available. From chunky jewellery to printed t-shirts and exquisite gowns, the professionally modelled creations have inspired many a visitor. Alongside exhibitors showcasing the latest trends and products, CHSI Stitches presents the very popular Bright Sparks Pavilion which hosts the best up-and-coming products from new start-up companies.
The ideal area for retailers looking for the latest products, new ideas and cutting edge designs, Bright Sparks Pavilion has an exciting atmosphere of its own. Free workshops giving retailers hands-on experience and skills with new products also run throughout the event covering all areas of the creative craft industry. In addition, the series of free business seminars throughout the three-day show provide retailers with practical solutions for modern companies covering topics as diverse as social media and blogging to window dressing and strategic planning.
Craft, Hobby + Stitch International changed its name to CHSI Stitches in 2015, incorporating its widely recognised original title. Each year CHSI Stitches hosts over 230 exhibitors from across the world and connects them with thousands of retailers, from large multiples to independents.
CHSI Stitches is Europe's No 1 trade show for the art, craft, needlecraft, fabric and hobby industry and takes place from 19th - 21st February 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham.
