Crafter's Companion will officially launch its new large-format automatic die-cutting and embossing machine later this month in one of the most eagerly-anticipated craft launches for year.
The Gemini will hit the shelves in the UK, USA and Europe from the 26th April priced at £169.99, $229 and €199 respectively. Using a high-pressure technology system, the product has been designed to be light, quiet and fast enabling it to work with intricate dies and folders, cutting heavyweight cardstock, vinyl, foil and fabric.
The company's latest release was previewed to the trade at the UK Stitches trade show, as well as at CHA in Anaheim and Creativeworld in Frankfurt earlier this year, and billed by the award-winning company as its 'biggest ever product innovation'.
Sara Davies, Crafter's Companion's sales director said: “Over the last decade, dies have really moved on in terms of their innovation and intricacy. So we felt it was time to develop and manufacture a die-cutting machine that works for the needs of the modern crafter and more sophisticated dies. With the Gemini, we've really taken things to the next level. Our new product represents state-of-the-art technology with its extra power and functionality over any other cutting and embossing tool on the market, yet it's been priced significantly cheaper than other comparable machines. The launch has taken slightly long than expected following the initial unveiling of the product but the wait is now over. As they say, good things come to those who wait.”
Offering an extra wide opening and oversized platforms, the Gemini provides edge-to-edge cutting of A4 and US letter size materials such as thick paper stock. This, plus the innovative pause and reverse functions on the machine along with the high-pressure system, make it ideal for all decorative and craft applications in scrapbooking, card making, paper and fabric embellishments and table décor. Sara added: “Needless to say but everyone at Crafter's Companion is so excited for this launch. This product is truly revolutionary and we believe it has the potential to be our most successful product of all time.
“We'll be going big with this launch later this month with the help of our TV shopping partner Hochanda and our retail trade partners. Over the last decade, the leading papercraft company has built its reputation by manufacturing and distributing crafting tools along with its own brand goods. Its products are sold online via its website, via TV shopping channels across the world and through independent retail shops worldwide.
The news comes just weeks after Crafter's Companion launched its new entry-level die-cutting and punch product, the Diamond Press. To win one, click on the Craft Focus competition page to enter.
