ExaClair, the UK supplier of Decopatch, Rhodia, Avenue Mandarine, Maildor and Clairefontaine, took advantage of the party season and provided London-based marketing and communications agency, Gravity London, with a craft-filled, team building evening at the agency's East London offices.
Nick Parry, Head of Art and Craft at ExaClair, kicked off the evening with a quick demonstration, showing how the craft can be used to decorate anything from picture frames and vases to metre-tall unicorns. Employees from across the company, including Director Sean Feast, then donned their Decopatch aprons and got to work decorating maché angels, penguins and Santa Clauses using what seemed like a limitless range of Decopatch papers, glitters and gems.
“Companies are always looking for fun and funky ideas for team building and office parties. The night provided a great opportunity to show that Decopatch is as much fun for grown ups as it is for children. Enthusiasm escalated, and by the end of the night everyone was talking about what in their homes could do with a bit of Decopatch magic,” comments Nick. “The evening was a great success,” adds Sean. “For us it worked really well to get employees interacting and having fun outside of the normal dinner or drinks scenario. And it showed that creativity is not just for the creatively minded, as all of us got involved and became very competitive!”
The night concluded with a prize giving where Nick gave out certificates for the Most Creative, Sticky Fingers and Most Original use of Decopatch Award! “It's an event concept that we would thoroughly recommend to other businesses, across all sectors,” concludes Sean.
An interesting concept for craft dealers to consider catering for perhaps. For more information about ExaClair, www.exaclair.co.uk
