Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods, today announced the launch of #EtsyResolution.
The four week online program will assist creative businesses to kick start the new year and help them turn their creative dreams into a flourishing business. Led by Clare Bowditch of Big Hearted Business, and assisted by Etsy seller and small business coach Jess Van Den, participants will have the opportunity to turn their idea into a fully functioning Etsy business, with direct access to tried and tested tips, tricks and lessons.
Time, confidence, fear of failure and of the unknown, are barriers often experienced by Australian creatives when looking to sell their wares. #EtsyResolution will harness the motivating power of the new year and with support from the mentors the comprehensive program aims to build confidence and smash those barriers for aspiring small business owners.
Commenting on her involvement with the online bootcamp, Clare Bowditch says: "There are few things that I love more than seeing talented creative peeps make a living doing what they love, which is why I'm honoured to support Etsy sellers all over Australia this summer as the presenter of #EtsyResolution.
No two ways about it, starting a business and putting yourself out there in the world can be kinda tough, and the “language” around business can sometimes seem alienating. Our aim for #EtsyResolution is to make it all a whole lot simpler; to demystify the language, and give you the kinds of strategies that have worked for us over the years.”
The program could be just the support an aspiring, full-time creative needs as well as those looking for a creative outlet or to add some supplemental income. The global nature of the Etsy platform also means sellers have immediate access to a huge, worldwide audience the second you open your virtual doors.
#EtsyResolution has been designed to be fun, practical and collaborative, with participants encouraged to work together, as well as with Clare and Jess, to kick off a successful 2015. The program guide includes:
