"As a headline sponsor of the CHA-UK's One Big Show, I'd like to express thanks from Coats Crafts UK to the CHA-UK for providing such an excellent platform for education.
The concept was superb, the organisation worked well, especially as this was the first time that this event has been run, and the educational programme was varied and excellent in both presentations and concept.
With over 100 delegates the One Big Show was catered for particularly well by the Holiday Inn staff, and the networking evening was an event in its own right, with everyone busy meeting new people and learning from each other long into the evening! As sponsors, Coats were afforded plenty of room to hold some drop-in sessions and demonstrations with our own Becky and Helen, as well as Jenni Taylor from the Great British Sewing Bee who was promoting upcycling which is her speciality, with Coats threads and fabrics of course!
A few changes are already in place for 2015, based on the learning curve experienced this year. We hope to attract more soft craft retailers to next year's event with a stimulating programme to benefit our customers and prospective customers. It was great to be there, it was fun, it was enjoyable, it was well worth the ticket cost [according to most, if not all, of those who attended the One Big Show] and we learned a lot.
The CHA-UK has proven itself as an educational provider through this event, and this shows the strength of the Association and what it can deliver in this, only its second year in existence. If you are not yet a member of the CHA-UK – it's time to consider what the CHA-UK can do for you, whether a retailer, designer or manufacturer/ distributor." commented Alastair McMinn, Marketing Director Coats Crafts UK
