A major new Design and Craft fair is to take place in the grounds and workshops of West Dean College over three days this June as part of a collaboration between the College and the team behind the highly successful MADE London, MADE Brighton and the Brighton Art Fair.
The new event West Dean Design and Craft Fair, featuring MADE, 20 – 22 June, will include around 80 innovative and original makers and designers who will show and sell their work to the public, alongside hands-on taster workshops and demonstrations in contemporary art and craft run by the College.
Visitors will be able to make a day of it with plenty of delicious food and drink options and free entry to the award-winning Gardens at West Dean.
This is a first for the internationally renowned College which has a worldwide reputation for its quality of teaching in traditional and contemporary art and craft and offers around 700 short courses each year ranging from Taster Days to week long Summer Schools.
Event Director Alex Barron comments: 'By showcasing what we do best at West Dean and working with established brand MADE, we aim to provide a fantastic creative event. Visitors can take a peek behind the scenes of this vibrant and historic college, take part in taster workshops and, for those who appreciate contemporary design and craft, it is a chance to browse and buy from a wide range of artists and makers. To top it all visitors can unwind in our beautiful award-winning gardens.'
