ExaClair has released a new range of Decopatch papers and maché products set to wow paper crafting fans eager for some new, exciting and inspiring designs.
The new fresh look at papers and supporting products has been carefully thought out, taking into consideration how the painting with paper technique has evolved and what crafters are decorating today and will want to be decorating in the future. There's a strong emphasis on home décor, up-cycling and recycling, as well as a keen reflection on what styles are fashionable; all of this research has been used to inject energy and originality into this year's offering.
Included in the extensive range is Tangram; elegant, oriental-inspired papers, with a finesse and clean design particularly suited to the new origami-style maché products. These new origami animals are a break from the norm; made from paper maché, but with sharp lines that make the rabbits and birds look as though they have been folded from paper – and when decorated with the Tangram papers they make a head-turning ornament or decoration. Weekend in the country is another new set of papers that embodies the popular style of country chic; the soft, vintage-inspired papers are perfect for up-cycling tired furniture and home accessories.
With a popularity evidenced by numerous National TV programmes devoted to up-cycling, the new Decopatch range has a strong focus on do-it-yourself home design. The sugar, tea and coffee jar maché products are practical, fun and once decorated will help crafters to coordinate their very own interior design theme. Decorative bowls are also part of the home design range and come in modern, conical shapes, as well as pretty and unusual heart and flower shapes.
New maché animals include parrots, ready to be adorned with the bright, exotic range of 'tropical' papers; spiders for the creepy-crawly fans and lions and elephants well-suited to the 'Casablanca' range of papers that captures the Middle-Eastern Orient with warm golds and yellows in mosaic motifs.
Nick Parry, Head of Arts and Craft at ExaClair is delighted with the new set of designs and maché products: “This year, we've had a real change of direction and the results are fantastic. The craft is growing in popularity and it's great that our designers have come up with original ideas that will inspire and enthuse crafters and help develop the hobby.”
All new Decopatch designs, as well Clairefontaine's high quality art pads and papers, Maildor's fun stickers and tapes and Avenue Mandarine's inspiring and educative games, dolls-to-paint and stencils will feature on ExaClair's stand (K07 & K08) at the Craft, Hobby and Stitch International Show at the Birmingham NEC, 16th to 18th February 2014.
