Scotland's Trade Fair and Scotland's Speciality Food Show have released their Seminar programme for the Show which is held at the SECC from 19-21 Jan 2014.
Scotland's Trade Fair, which takes place at the SECC from 19th-21st January 2014. The keynote seminar taking place at 12 noon on the opening day, Sun 19th Jan, will bring the Better Together and Pro-independence campaigns together in a highly informative seminar on 'Will Scottish Independence be Better for Business?' This will give visitors to the shows information on what Scottish Independence will do for their business and some food for thought as to which way to vote in the Referendum in Sept 18th which could change the course of retail in Scotland. Seminars will held every day of the show on other interesting subjects.
The seminars proved a big draw last year and an equally good programme has been formulated for this year, and will include:
Ian Murray MP, Shadow Minister for Trade and Investment, will put the Better Together's argument across saying why it is better for Scottish business if Scotland remains part of the UK.
Gordon McIntyre Kemp, a prominent Scottish businessman and member of Business for Scotland, will explain why Independence will be better for business. This keynote seminar will be chaired by BBC Business Correspondent David Henderson and will take place at 12noon on Sun 19th Jan.
Pete Jackson, Eco Entrepreneur and founder of Earthy Foods, will speak on 'How to grow your business'.
The Giftware Association Chief Executive Isabel Martinson will give an insight into 'Setting up gift retailing, online and offline'
Alan Dickson of Retail Mentors will talk about 'The Future of Retail.'
This is complemented by Gift wrapping expert Jane Means showing 'Gift wrapping made easy on a budget'
Top Drawer Owner Jenny Morrison explaining, 'Social Media – good for business?'
The Seminars are all free to all visitors and last about one hour, including a Q&A session at the end and will take place in the Seminar Theatre towards the back of Hall 4.
