MESSE FRANKFURT AIMS FOR €700 MILLION IN SALES Show organiser Messe Frankfurt experienced a successful start to 2018, and expects around €700 million in sales in the second six months of the year. Transactions have increased by around 50 per cent since 2010, from €448 million to approximately €669 million in 2017. The company has also consolidated its worldwide network to include 30 subsidiaries, with new additions in the UK and China. “If everything goes to plan, the exhibitor record of 95,000 companies that we set in financial year 2017 will be broken once again,” says Detlef Braun, member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfrut GmbH. “Our events are growing in depth and breadth, with a high international component and levels of satisfaction among our customers. As an event organiser and marketing partner, linking together different perspectives and industry sectors creates space for new projects, business models, cooperative measures and target groups.” After two years of construction work, Hall 12 is set to join the company’s network in September, further enhancing the range of trade fair services at its Frankfurt base.
